Wilfredo Rivera (Wil)
Outreach Case Manager

Wilfredo ”Wil”  M. Rivera has joined the Alliance for Living as the Outreach Case Manager. The goal of this new position is to extend AFL’s services into minority communities, working within Hispanic and African American cultures to reach those not in care. Wil was born in Windham, Ct and grew up in Southeastern Connecticut. He studied at Zion Bible College Youth Pastoral Studies in Barrington, R.I., and learned Pastoral counseling in crisis at Hartford (CT) Seminary. Wil is a candidate for two Bachelor’s degrees - one in Human Services at Springfield College and one in Psychology at Faith Christian University.  He has worked with youth and families as a Behavior Support Specialist and as a therapeutic residential counselor for the past 10 years. Wil believes in helping restore people who are hurting and has done so as one of the senior executives for a local Hispanic faith-based non-profit organization. In that position, Wil met Enid who serves as a member of the board of trustees. They married and are the parents of two children, Anais and Gabriel Rivera. As the senior director of Oasis of Restoration prison ministry for over 10 years, Wil is known as a motivational speaker for inmates in Correctional Facilities, helping to improve the quality of life for those who are incarcerated.

“I am excited, honored and blessed to be part of a dedicated agency that shares a passion to help by making a difference,” Wil remarked. “And if there is one thing everyone must know about me, it is that I will represent the Alliance for Living with passion and commitment throughout New London County. My decision to serve the community as Outreach Case Manager does not reflect just me or my efforts, rather I hope to be the voice of many with the same vision and mission -  to outreach to our world in a fight for the preservation of life.”
