Annual and Holiday Appeal

Appeal Letters
Twice a year the community of southeastern CT has an opportunity to learn of the many stories the men, women and families Alliance for Living serves. They are full of hope and life's challenges. It is through these letters to you that we ask for your contribution. Your generosity allows Alliance for Living to continue to provide the core programs that provide that hope and overcome those challenges.

Memorials and Tributes

In Memory
Our community has lost so many talented and wonderful people to AIDS and its opportunistic diseases. It is through a memorial gift that you can continue to honor your friend, your loved one. You will know that your contribution will be used to ensure that others who suffer form the disabling and chronic condition will be able to live a quality of life that your loved one so richly deserved.

In Honor
How often have we wondered what could we give someone that would really enrich their lives? How many scarves, fishing poles, or dinners out can one person revel in? Consider making a donation in the name of a friend or loved one. Your thoughtful contribution will provide an essential need, such as medication or food, that an Alliance for Living member needs. Or, it will help fund Alliance's education outreach program, Positively Speaking, a program that brings the message that HIV/AIDS and STDs are preventable to our teenagers in their school systems.

Planned Giving Opportunities

Planned Gift
A planned gift is one that is made after considerable thought. When considering the organizations that have made a difference in the life of a loved one or yourself, a bequest in your will is a simple planned gift to make. If you have an existing will, it is easy to include a codicil. Other opportunities exist, such as a Charitable Gift Annuity, that will allow you to derive income from your gift.

AIDS is the leading cause of death for African-American men between the ages of 35 – 44 and African-American women between the ages of 25 – 34.
