Case Management
Coordinating the delivery of services to members whose multiple needs require assistance from a number of providers. Includes legal referrals, financial (entitlements) help, medical and dental referrals, transportation, prescription assistance, nutrition supplements and overall advocacy and referrals.
Drop In Center
Provides a comfortable living room area for members and family in need of a respite to watch T.V., read a book or magazine, play a board game with your children or a friend, borrow from our lending library and video center or visit with a
friend and make a new one.
Support Groups and Individual Counseling
Providing social/emotional outlets for members and developing empowerment strategies for coping skills.
Educational Workshops
Providing information pertinent to issues concerning HIV/AIDS ( e.g. medication adherence, nutrition, safe sex, complimentary therapies, legal issues, Social Security Benefits and clinical trials).
Social/Recreational Activities
Providing members with an opportunity to attend professional sporting events, concerts, and other events. In most cases, tickets are donated.
Children's Room
Providing a safe and fun environment for children while their parents attend functions at the Alliance.
Focus Groups
Comprised of members, staff and board representatives, these groups are designed to deal with specific issues or programs. Examples include Groups to deal with nutrition and with physical fitness.
Complimentary Therapies
Enhancing medical regimens for people with HIV/AIDS.
Program Spaces
These include a PC room with internet access, a salon where professional hairstylists provide haircuts to enhance members' self- esteem, massage room, library, full service commercial kitchen for on-site meal preparation and cooking/nutrition classes, fitness center with top of the line exercise equipment, art room for painting and crafts, and a multi-purpose room for meetings and community meals.
