Raymond "Slim" Jones

Known to everyone as “Slim,” Raymond Jones returned to Alliance after working with us in the mid-1990s doing maintenance and driving our van. He was one of the founding members of MAC, and has taken part in many member activities over the years. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Slim moved to New London in 1974. He loves to play golf, do art projects with wood and mixed media, and his newest hobby of making quilts and wall hangings. He calls himself a family man, as he enjoys spending time with his wife and granddaughter. Besides serving as our resident cook, Slim also maintains our space and performs ELP activities. “I find working at a non-profit organization that helps people to be extremely rewarding,” he says, “and I am happy to be back doing a job that I love.”
